Hometown: Philadelphia, PA
RLT Alum: Namaste '11, Service Learning '12
Education: University of Chicago
Hailing from Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Julia double-majored in History and Law, Letters, and Society, and focused her research on flight attendant labor activism in the 1970s. Julia also completed a minor in Classical Studies, and was able to keep her Ancient Greek sharp last spring while reading Homer and studying ancient history in Athens, Greece. When she isn't reading classical texts or Supreme Court cases, you can probably find Julia singing both a cappella and choral music. Julia also likes to bake pies, drink tea, and practice making latte art at her campus job as a barista. When she isn't gallivanting around Chicago or Philadelphia, Julia enjoys gallivanting around the outdoors, most recently in the Berkshires and the Smoky Mountains. Julia was a student on two RLT trips, Namaste 2011 and Service Leadership 2012. She came back to RLT in 2014 as an expedition intern on 5280, and is thrilled to be making another glorious return to her favorite summer travel company this summer!
