Peter has a strong passion for better understanding this planet and the people on it. He has traveled to Tanzania as well as completed a semester in the Indian Himalayas. While completing his degree in Education & Leadership at Prescott College in Arizona, Pete incorporated an exchange semester in Amherst, Massachusetts and an internship teaching creative writing in schools across Chicago. Pete has led nearly thirty backpacking trips throughout Colorado’s San Juan Mountains as a Counselor and Coordinator. He has also worked as a Wilderness Therapy Field Guide in Virginia and as an Environmental Educator and Field Instructor in West Virginia. His adventures include thru-hiking the Colorado Trail with friends (where he encountered a moose), completing a 2,200 mile bicycle trip in ’15 to fundraise for The Amala Foundation and World Bicycle Relief (where he encountered a grizzly), and backpacking across his grandparents homeland of Italy (where he encountered one too many meatballs). Currently, Pete is back home in Chicagoland to complete an EMT program, a skill which he believes will further prepare him to make a positive impact in this world as an inspired international and remote adventurer.
